This Time article compares the safety of the 2 locations. In fact the safety was compared back during Mardi Gras. I’d write more, but I have to run to the studio in the French Quarter by the scene of a murder of a great lady committed by a group of teens. I still love this city and won’t leave. I think you might have missed the Iraqi journalist that visited New Orleans on assignment. He mentioned how similar the outlook of the city was to his country. How people try to make normalcy out of destruction. The murders are horrible. You had a damaged population before Katrina that has been made worse by the trauma of the storm. I truly do not know if there is an answer. All I know is ignoring the problem helps no one.
I read that before doctorj. We will heal and so will Iraq!
