*** There will be another Kiss My Gumbo radio show this Saturday from 3:00-4:00 on AM 690 WIST with your hostess, me, The Princess of Positive. The first half hour will be spent with Captain Papillion (make sure the kiddos listen and call in with questions) (504)260-0690 and the second half hour of the show is going to the dogs! You can listen live through your computer or later on a podcast (which means it is recorded and you can listen later on your computer or ipod).

***What happens in the French Quarter…stays in the French Quarter…right? Tomorrow night I will be out on the town with my SIL. I also know at least 2 other groups of women who will be doing a girls night out in the FQ at the same time! Any suggestions for bars we should visit and the drinks we must get??? And no – I will not go to any bar that has stripper poles!!!

***Sunday is the “Keeping up with the Kardashians” season finale. Big hint – New Orleans will be featured (good or bad…not sure yet).

***Senator McCain does a monthly phone conference with bloggers and I was fortunate enough to have been invited into this one. I am not discussing politics – so don’t get your panties all in a bunch and start discussing your candidate! But, I had to let you in on this, because it is about us! I was told the theme would be McCain looking into his 2013 crystal ball. Bummer he didn’t get to my question – but it may get answered via e-mail and I’ll be sure to share the answer.

I had the pleasure of listening to you speak at Xavier University in New Orleans recently. You called for many things to help the area: more Category 5 protection, restoration of health care services to struggling areas, better handling of disasters in the future & restoration and claimed that protection the barrier islands and wetlands that protect New Orleans from storm surge would be one of your priorities.

But, when I looked at your vision for 2013, nothing was mentioned about any of this. Is New Orleans and the wetlands still one of your priorities? How will you fund it? How will you oversee the spending of the funds given? Thank you in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.

***Others have jumped onto the Mayor of Mandeville displeasure bandwagon. Lookie here.

***Less than a week of school left – UGH!!!

***my home renovations are almost complete. I am tired of having “people” at my house!

***American Idol – I hope David Cook wins!

***this post can be read at NOLA.com and my personal blog. Also tune in to Kiss My Gumbo Radio every Saturday from 3:00-4:00 on AM 690 WIST. Feel free to contact me gretaperry@gmail.com

***Soldiers’ Angels need you!!! Help support the troops and their families! Ask me how!
