Drew-Senior_Year Not sure what makes it more real, ordering the official Senior year pictures today or seeing him off on the bus for his last Cross Country meet as a senior. Either way, my first born, Drew, is on his way to leaving the nest. This time next year, he will be away at Ole Miss and I’ll be getting ready for his arrival for Thanksgiving break, by likely kicking my other son out of his room. We have so much on our plate for the rest of 2013, that I do not anticipate us doing anything but spending lots of family time together at home. Shhhh don’t tell anyone… but I’m looking forward to that even more than a vacation (minus the housework).

I am truly blessed to have such a great young man, who is meeting his full potential in high school and taking advantage of all it has to offer. I can’t wait to see what he does with his life and can pretty much bet money that he will be high profile (in a good way) someday. Putting this in writing so I have proof that I always believed he would be successful. Now to kick his butt through the rest of the year and make him get those scholarship applications in!

To tell you the truth, I’m not really liking all these “lasts” for him. I Know I have two more kids to go with this through and I’m sure it does not get easier. *sniff sniff* For the record, I hardly cry, so I better get a grip on this now!

  1. I love that they get to take formal pictures in their graduation garb! This year of “lasts” is killing me. Connor is my baby, so this is my last of the lasts. Last semi and last Cross Country banquet coming up this weekend. I’m stocked up on tissues.
