I’m excited to experience the 3rd of July at New Orleans City Park this year. From them:

The Happy 3rd of July event is free to the public. Wear your red, white, and blue and join us as we celebrate the 3rd of July! The Marine Corps Band and the Naval Band of New Orleans will play on the Goldring Woldenberg Great Lawn. You’re invited to bring your chairs and blankets to listen to them play music with a patriotic theme. We’ll even have some sing-a-longs for you, too! Fireworks from the historic Peristyle will close out the event! The event is from 7pm to 9pm (but arrive early to get your spot on the lawn). Stilt walking Uncle Sam’s will walk around the lawn starting at 6:30pm. There will be a fireworks display just before 9pm. We’ll have concessions and wine & beer available for purchase but feel free to bring your own. No tents or staking anything into the lawn. If you bring a dog, it must remain on a leash for the entirety of its stay in the Park.
