Just two score years ago, Greta’s father and mother brought fourth upon the Bay State a new person, concieved in (REMOVED FOR REASONS OF DECENCY) and dedicated to the proposition that all men (and women, of course) should have a positive outlook on life.

We are now using the Internet to celebrate that event, testing weather this person, or any person so conceived and dedicated, can hold this positive outlook as they age. We are met on a great website of that Internet. We have come to dedicate a portion of that website, as a final resting place for our birthday salutations to this person who believes that organization in the home may yet live. It is all together fitting and proper we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow — this website. Greta, the brave aging lass who struggs here, has consecrated it far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what Greta does here. It is for us, the people with little else to do than comment on other people’s websites, to be dedicated here to maintaining her daily stats as she crosses over the line from youth. It is for us here to be dedicated to the great task remaining before us — to take increased devotion to the causes for which Greta gives her full measure of devotion — a positive attitude, our soldiers, an organized house, and a Wii. And that posts by Greta, about Greta, and concerning Greta shall not perish from the Web.

They told me that memorizing things in 8th grade history class would be useful throughout life. And they were right!
